The following is a report on the street scene in Derby as of August 96. The girls work the beat on and around Princess Street in the Normanton area of the city. I understand that it moved here from Rose Street following concerted efforts by residents and police to move them away a couple of years ago. The majority of girls appear to be 25 + and rather rough looking. The atmosphere between girls and punters and between the girls themselves is not particularly good. The girls I spoke to were not particularly friendly and I felt they would rip punters off given the slightest chance. Asking price is 20 pounds for straight sex in the car, but 15 is accepted. It is a massage place, but does not provide any personal services except a very good massage and hand relief. All the girls that work there are very attractive, and the whole place is very well decorated. They make an effort to make the place homely and comfortable. Prices start at 20ukp (I think) for a massage. There is a sauna available too. The price for the VIP suite (a room with a jacuzzi, shower and a massage table) costs 30ukp for the hour. There is then the additional cost for the girl to massage you, which is negotiable then and there with the girl. I have always enjoyed myself there - the girls are very friendly and talkative. You do not even go for a massage but for a talk, and of course, you can stay and chat before and after your massage.
